Description
These scores were originally developed by Hugh Cameron in the 1970s, while a member of the Music Board Panel of the Pipers and Pipe Band Society of Ontario. Until recently, they had been adopted as the standard massed band drum scores for most pipe band associations in North America. The new Massed Band Cadences have now replaced these scores but lots of pipe bands still use these original scores as part of their band repertoire.
They are presented in both traditional pipe band notation and abbreviated notation, allowing drummers from other styles to learn the intricacies of the swing rhythms used within pipe band drumming. An accompanying CD is included with the book.
